The World's Biggest Coffee Morning - Britmet Lightweight Roofing

Macmillan Coffee Morning is always a favourite in the Britmet calendar, and we are proud to contribute to Macmillan Cancer Support. Staff members at the Britmet Head Office in Banbury baked and faked cakes and savoury goodies to raise as much money as possible for this fantastic charity. Our team rose to the occasion, bringing plenty of cookies, cakes, and even some homemade sausage rolls to tuck into.

The team did not disappoint with everyone showing 100% effort, but as always, we have to pick a winner for the ‘Best Tasting’ and ‘Best Looking’ bakes of the day. This year’s budding baker was none other than Peter Coaker with his Thai Curry Sausage Rolls. Winning this category for the second year in a row, Pete said, “I’m honoured to win a second year in a row and contribute to such a good cause. Fingers crossed my baking prowess bags me another win next year!”

This year’s ‘Best Looking Bake’ went to newcomer, Sophie Hambidge, with her beautiful Rose-Shaped Apple and Cinnamon Swirls. Sophie Said, “I want to thank everyone who voted for me. I was very sceptical about how my Cinnamon Roses would turn out, but I am very grateful for my win as this is my first Britmet Macmillan Bake-Off.”

With everyone's contributions and donations, we raised £225+ a Britmet record! Well done team!
