The Green Consortium appointed solar PV partner working with the NHS

The Green Consortium was founded through the association of Britmet Tileform Ltd., Campbell & Kennedy Ltd., Orsis (UK) Ltd. and Property Revolutions Ltd. - four leading renewable energy companies with specialist knowledge and experience of the different stages in green renewables system installation.

From consultancy and supply through to installation and monitoring, The Consortium has extensive commercial and public sector contract experience enabling them to provide guidance and expert knowledge on Solar PV designs and installations.

This ties in with the NHS's commitment to sustainability. The NHS's vision is to provide a low carbon quality healthcare environment that is sustainable, resilient, and safeguards high quality patient care. As part of this commitment, higher levels of renewable energy are encouraged at all NHS sites.

Grant Ashington, UK Sales Director at Campbell & Kennedy (part of The Consortium) said, "Many organisations were concerned about investing in renewable energy following the cuts to the Feed-in Tariff. However, regardless of the Feed-in Tariff, projects such as Solar PV installations are still a great way tor reduce costs, lower carbon emissions and generate income by exporting to the grid."

Darren Forbes, Sales Director at Britmet Tileform said, "We look forward to providing our expertise and advice on the best ways for organisations to reduce energy costs and implement projects. We often find that the tricky part of the project is the implementation itself, and this is where we believe we can assist estates teams, project managers and facilities directors with their green energy and sustainability challenges."

New Villatile is launched

Britmet Tileform Ltd are proud to announce the new Villatile profile. The profile has been launched to improve the already extensive range with a double roman tile look.

The Villatile comes in various colours, including Brindle colour.

The Villatile can be manufactured in a 0.5mm thickness and a 0.9mm antivandal thickness.

The product has already been used on various projects ranging from Flat to Pitch conversions, School over roofing packages and Sub station new builds.

There are 2.25 no Villatiles per metre squared to allow for quick installation.

We have incorporated a new unique shelf ventilating ridge system, giving the appearance of half round ridge. This in turn gives the completed roof a more traditional appearance.

With 100m2 packed on each pallet the Villatile can reduce site storage, improve faster installation, give a traditional look, with the capability of taking foot traffic, and with the 0.9mm thickness, be highly resistant to impact damage and vandals.

The Villatile, as all Britmet Tileform Ltd profiles, provides the ideal solution for all types of Local Authority, Government Building, Housing Associations and houses, also including:

Bentley New Village Primary School Doncaster

Due to continually mounting maintenance costs as a result of vandalism and aging of the original rosemary tile roof, the decision was made by Doncaster MBC and the school board, that a replacement roof covering was required to enable the school to provide its pupils with a dry, comfortable and secure environment.

After approaching many suppliers to find a match for the existing rosemary tile covering, the Plain tile panel system from Britmet Tileform Ltd was chosen as the best roofing solution for the project.

This was due to its unique profile, virtually maintenance free life cycle, its resistance to vandal attacks, and its 40 year guarantee against any weather penetration.

The first phase of the roof replacement started in July and was completed before the end of the school holidays, to prevent any disruption to the school curriculum, which was only possible due to the speed of installation of the Britmet Tileform Ltd panel system.
